So i just bought a 4k. I have all the upgrades (all new, not used) and everything hooked up. I tried sampling from the cd drive and it works on internal(analog) but not internal(digital).
I have used the spdif in to sample so i know the digital board works. I have tried changing the cable configuration on the back of cd drive. And yes i do have the jp1 pins 1-2 set to short.
I even tried seeing if there was anything coming out of the side of the cable going to the digital board with a meter(not while in the board). I saw no change in voltage. I did see voltage change in the analog cable(tried it for comparison).
Maybe the cd digital output is no good? If not what else could be wrong?
Also is it worth be removing all the boards to try and play around with this thing?
In other words, would i be missing anything special if i couldn't sample internal(digital)?
Do you guys use the cd drive for sampling a lot or once in a while?
Thanks.
