Decided to get an mpc 1000 and also jjos pretty soon, and was wondering if it's possible to record a sample while a sequence is recording and have it set to an number of bars.
I've used a an rs7000 and it has a feature where there is possible (though it had no count in which was annoying). Basically you could just record over the top of a sequence as it played, then it would automatically play a note to trigger the sample in perfect time. The next best thing to having a dedicated looper.
I actually have a looping device, but would probably sell it if I could achieve something like this (wouldn't necessarily even have to be real time - don't mind having to stop to begin recording).
Thanks!
