Wow, i thought i was gonna see a thread of everyone rating it. I've never owned an MPC, so I didn't expect much, but when i bought this thing for 8 bucks i thought it was a steal. first of all, how can people complain about having only 4 tracks? if you can't make a decent tune with 64 samples, you aren't thinking enough. 4 programs is plenty for me. However, now that i've heard about Beatmaker2 that has 8 banks, i can see how that would annoy people, but i had no knowledge of this beforehand so whatevs.
Anyways, i've been getting a kick out of iMPC. I rely on the sampler, even if it's one chop for each recording, 10 second recordings at that. Even so, it's not that hard to work around, just keep track of where you are in the song and embrace the repitition. Is that seriously the only reason why people are saying it can't chop? and yeah, it would be so dope if the pads had velocity, but it's an app, i guess i'll just use my variation slider and play with the filter&velocity as i'm finger drumming, that'll work for me for now i guess.
For kids like me who've always wanted an MPC but could never afford the large price tags, i honestly think this app is a good intro into the workflow. A 4 year old could understand the layout, there's swing, i can sample tunes from my library all day, and if i make a sick beat i can literally upload it to soundcloud in 10 seconds. I'm not trying to fanboy, i just think it's a sick app. Defs trying out that tabletop shit, though, looks tight.
The sampler is annoying, but it's the only sampler i've ever known. One thing i was surprised about is how reactive the pads are, more so then iMaschine. If only you could map multiple sounds to a pad

One question i have though: Is there a way to combine sequences? I've only been uploading individual sequences to soundcloud, i've been wondering if there's a way to combine sequences so that you can upload them together.
