What is the length of the sample originally and what's the current BPM? MPC Maid doesn't have time stretch so if the samples quicker/slower you'll need to **** with the time stretch in the 500.

Also, if the sample is longer than 4 bars you'll need to trim it down and if it's shorter you'll need to loop it in the 500. I think MPC maid can trim as I know It can chop but I can't say for certain (only used it twice a couple years back).

MPC Maid is cool for program building and it's OK for chopping but the 500 can be just as easy once you're familiar with the machine.

the samples like 17 secs, i dont kno wat the current bpm is or how to read it,

in all honesty id rather learn how to do most of the chopping on the mpc 500
but is it possible to load full length songs on to it and chop them?
i tried once and only got like 15 secs of the song
and i couldnt figure out how to get it onto a pad or anything
.
sounds wack but i litterally just got it
so im new to everything

Listen to this man, you can do it all in the box.

Here's my timestretch method straight from the Caiman Scroll.

Set a blank sequence to 4 bars. Then record the sample into the sequence. When it goes into Overdub, adjust the BPM until the metronome is in time with your sample. If it sounds perfect, write down the BPM. Do this with as many samples as you like, in that you'll figure out their BPMs.

Ok, NOW! The nitty gritty. Set your desired BPM to a sequence. In this case its 50bpm so we'll use that as an example. We have a sequence at 50bpm using 4 bars ready to record. But wait! before recording, lets go into Trim mode and Timestretch the samples. So, if you heard right and the sample is at 112bpm, then you input that into the Origin and then you're gonna input 50bpm into the New because you want it to fit the sequence. Your sample will be timestretched and fit into the sequence and they'll be at 50bpm and 4bars.

Peace
