I have a proposal for anybody who ownes a mpc 4000.I have a really good engineer who will do an experiment for me regarding the difference in sound engines and how drums sound in the mpc 3000 compared to the mpc 4000.I will e-mail someone a drum kit to sequence a simple 4 bar drum loop in the mpc 4000 at 90bpm's and 50% swing, normal 1/16th quantize and record it in wav format for about 1 minute long,e-mail it to me and i will program the exact same drum sequence using the exact same drum pattern in my mpc 3000 and e-mail it to my engineer so he can analize them and tell me the exact differences. He gets really into the science of it all. This way we can clear up all the talk/hype and you can hear the real truth.I would also really like to find out and i think it would be interesting.I use digital performer to record my tracks but i dont think what you use to record will make that much of a difference as long as it is digital.Just provide me with your e-mail adress so i can send you the drum kit in wav format and my e-mail adress is [email protected] to send me back the recorded drum pattern sequenced from the mpc 4000
Please post to let me know if you are willing to help out so i know to expect it.Anybody's help in this experiment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
