anybody with a mpc 4000 i have a helpfull proposal please!

I have a proposal for anybody who ownes a mpc 4000.I have a really good engineer who will do an experiment for me regarding the difference in sound engines and how drums sound in the mpc 3000 compared to the mpc 4000.I will e-mail someone a drum kit to sequence a simple 4 bar drum loop in the mpc 4000 at 90bpm's and 50% swing,normal 1/16th quantize and record it in wav format for about 1 minute long,e-mail it to me and i will program the exact same drum sequence using the exact same drum pattern in my mpc 3000 and e-mail it to my engineer so he can analize them and tell me the exact differences.He gets really into the science of it all.This way we can clear up all the talk/hype and you can hear the real truth.I would also really like to find out and i think it would be interesting.I use digital performer to record my tracks but i dont think what you use to record will make that much of a difference as long as it is digital.Just provide me with your e-mail adress so i can send you the drum kit in wav format and my e-mail adress is [email protected] to send me back the recorded drum pattern sequenced from the mpc 4000

both has to have the same recording equipment too. Dont forget that! Also must be recorded at the same level, with the exact same amount of EQ, panning, etc.. ANd same cables too!

Hey, dont record with eq or anything at all.Just record dry with no effects, no eq,nothing.I will provide the drum kit.I use a motu 828 mk2 as my soundcard.Volume levels wont matter at all either.Record at 16 bit.For cables i just use a snake.Cables will hardly matter.This engineer is really good.Thanks!

I got something alot easier and faster! Tell ya boy to go pick up the latest issue of scractch magazine cause in there it has a artical with Scott Storch and he has work with Dr dre(MR MPC 3k) on many records and Timbo (MR. ASR) on reocords and what did Scotch Storch tell the world he uses to make beats...(DRUM ROLL).................................A Mpc 2000 xl, not a 3k or a 4k! If there was any real difference i would doult this man would decided to use it.

im with ikke here, youre pretty much gonna have to have the 2 machines next to each other in order to conduct a fair test. And they all gotta have the same levels etc aswell. Im sure that soundengineer will confirm that.

trust me fellas....4k, 2kXL, 3K...all are sufficient enough to make beats...I have been to producers labs in NY and LA and Ive witnessed everything from old ass Alesis drum machines to LapTops and if you know your shit you can bang out hot beats on a regular with all of those instruments...TRUST ME!! good luck
