im sure yall heard alot of beats and i have a question how do they have have the beat playing at a tempo of 90 bpm and have a certain insyrument playing at a 100 bpm

if you have a mpc 1000 listen to your first demo song and if you listen to the beat carefully certain instruments on different tracks speed up

for example if you download the santanas town instrumental the beat is playing at like 93 bpm then listen to the snares youll see they are going faster then the beat itself

but it doesn't make sense why you would clash 2 tempos. maybe id have to hear a good example cause im confused

if i understand you correctly, it's not different tempo it's just one tempo but you are playing either slower than the tempo or right on point with the tempo.

lets say your actual tempo is 120 and set the beat at 1/16 and you have a 2 bar seq. and the type of beat will be a simple boom bap. you will start by putting your hi hats on every note of the 8 beats (hold the tap tempo/repeat button and the hi hat pad for the whole 2 bars) then instead of your snares on the 2 and 4 beat, you will put it on the 3rd and 7th beat. then your kick will go on the 1st and the 5th beat. if you do that you will hear how it's done then you can play around with it to put your own finesse an twist to it.

it's easier than it sounds. if you are still unsure, holla back

i think the easiest route, and the most beneficial, is go by the sound. if it sounds koo to you, then it works. don't trip about the numbers.

indeed. but if he could have done it by sound, he wouldn't have asked the question. i put the numbers there just so he could get the hang of it. once he gets that then he could go by sound, that's all

Listen to any of Timberlands beats he's good for doing beats like that

I think i know what you mean i notice on Top Gun for instance that there are two sepereate sets of Bpm's going at one time in the field were the Bpms are located

santana's town was a sample of some opera song..............

yeah i sincerely doubt that there are 2 bpms going at the same time. that's not possible on an mpc.
