It's a lot harder to turn an existing product built on 32-bit only architecture (RTAS) to 64 bit, than it is to write a brand new 64 Bit app from a clean slate! The MPC is a completely new software platform with no prior version compatibility to worry about.
UAD is a brand new product. It was released last year and only received 64 bit support this year....which is reportedly the same plan as the Ren.
It doesn't matter if Pro Tools is not a brand new product. Pro Tools is supposed to be the leading professional DAW and should be the leader in embracing new technologies. Computers have had 64 bit operating systems for several years now.
