I don't think so. Take Logic for example. When Logic crashes, it tells you it's crashing, and it saves your project as a crash file. There's nothing inconvenient about that.

Autosave is great. But I still save my projects all the time since sometimes you can't rely on autosave. It CAN save you a lot of time when the software crashes, but it'll annoy you sooner or later by autosaving at the most inconvenient moments.

dont need autosave just fix this from happeing. i was getting this too had to remove plug-ins to get a save.

Well, its better to fix up the bugs and crashes instead of just putting a band-aid on it. Don't make this easy for Akai or you'll be in 2015 still waiting for the real fixes.
