Ah I see. Haven't tried that yet. The probably cause is that when a song is converted to a sequence, the mpc uses the settings of the first sequence in the song (including the tracks settings), and uses that on all other sequences in the song. So if the first sequence does NOT have transposition settings defined, so will the other sequences. (Guessing here, haven't tried it.)
Anyway, the fix is simple. Go find the sequences that have tranpositions defined (either on the whole sequence, or on a per-track basis), and move to cursor to the correspondng transpose value field(s). Now hit the Window key and FIX the transposition. That is, have the actual MIDI data now reflect the transposition, instead of the default realtime behavior.
on the looping thing, I can see why you want the whole bar to loop (I do it all the time gigging) but why Akai designed it to be editable so that the only option is that it plays from the beginning and then loops when it gets to the loop points is beyond me... for example if I just want to loop a couple of bars and NOT have the sequence play from the beginning, well, It won't do it... this seems a bit half-assed to me which is why I question what this feature was ever supposed to be
Richard
So you want to loop part of a sequence? Somewhere in the middle? Well then, make a copy of the sequence and in that copy go to the Bars field. Hit the Window key and DELETE anything you don't need. Done.
