[REQ] GPE OUT route to nowhere

Quoting what I wrote 4 years ago in the archive thread:

When tracking out a beat, it would be cool if you have an option like "X" besides of 1,2,3,4,L,R meaning the sample won't be in a output. Let's say you have 7 elements in your drums part, one for each output, the 7th will unfortunately be on Stereo out or another out. This case is when all in on one track and you can't mute easily.

I had to intensively use my multitrack recorder recently and I'm still thinking that it would be useful to have a "route to nowhere" feature in the OUT tab in GPE. When we can't use the mute function or turn the level down to 0 I think it's a waste to sacrifice an individual out.

Otherwise an improved pad mute feature compatible with others modes could do the job.

I don't know if you often track beats to a multitrack recorder or a computer but it's pretty time consuming. In my case I also do multitrack recording of lazy dudes beats, the kind of guy that put DELAY effects on too many samples and drum hits

So if it's not optimized from the beginning I have to take notes and find the more efficient way to do the recording spending less time as much as possible.

Boring issues are tracks or samples with effects, I have to calculate what will go on separate outs, stereo out...etc

The problem that lead to this request is when I have to track the track that holds drum hits I run out of outs.

If for instance I use 8 or 9 kind of different drums in this track for the entire sequence/song I often have to sacrifice an output to put "inside" what won't be recorded in the first pass.

Putting the level to 0 instead of sacrificing an output isn't a good solution because I will quickly forget what were the previous values. I can use pad mute but as it's not compatible with MAIN it's too easy to make a mistake when recording.

So having a route to nowhere could make the multitrack recording process quicker.
On the 1K I often have to do an additional pass for 1 or 2 tracks only so it's a bit frustrating. It often takes me between 1 and 2 hours to track perfectly. I got a 2K5 recently, I will use it for this purpose in the future. I think it will be a breeze but just in case I have to do it again on the 1K I keep asking for this function from time to time
