had the mk1, sold it cpl of months ago (lucky me, now its value is droppin at lightspeed) because i'm a trainer (mostly ableton live, for which i'm a certified trainer but i also give courses and 1to1's on maschine and other stuff....) and have to keep my gear up to date. but luckily i didnt bought the mk2 yet

now my setup comprises push, mpc2k5 , virus ti.
i'll surely pick the new maschine studio. mpc ren never was an option from my point of view. i stopped trusting akai (or nukai) after seeing how they totally abandon capable products that only need some software updates (think 4k, 1k, 5k....), how can i trust a company like that?
anyway, even with 1.8 i managed to produce entire , finished tracks and long running livesets, in standalone mode. with 2.0 life will be even better

on the other hand ableton made a great move with push, i think is the first controller to bring back the fun in producing with live. i can see myself using both a lot and going back to the 2k5 when i dont want to bother with laptops and go straight to the beat. or for peculiar performances (e.g.: with bands. bands don't like to have laptops flyng around on stage

)
