It's funny no matter what forum this has ever been talked about on people just don't get what people are talking about.
How will tap tempo allow you to change and work with chops of varying tempo and pitch the same way that the Beat Loop does?
Simple answer it can't.
Again it's not about loops or working inside a sequence.
i know exactly what you're talking about and i'm suggesting the obvious... use tap tempo to figure out the BPM and then pitch/tune your samples accordingly... you know, by actually using your ears and making music rather than just having a machine automatically do it for you... MPCs were never really designed with playing loops as a priority... but you already know this... and yes what you're talking about IS about loops if you're asking for the MPC to automatically detect BPM from a loop
The MPC can automatically detect BPM from a loop. Well not automatically as you have to tell it how many bars and beats are in the loop first.
The stock OS for the 2500 really wasn't good with tempo detection like the 2000XL, but with the latest version of JJOSXL the tempo detection feature is just as good as the 2000XL.
