Say I have a snare on pad 1 that hits on every 1/4, but on the chorus, I want a hat to hit on every 1/4, I want to be able to copy the pattern (hitting every quarter) from Pad 1 to Pad 2 so that it can do the same. This is obviously a dumbed down example so I dont have to write a book.
Page 69 - Editing Screen - shows how to take certain notes from a sequence, and give it a new track. However, I cant change the sound of the pad without effecting the first sequences material. I want to say, take the Pad 1 command of hitting every quarter, and move that command (but not the sound) to pad 2, so that I can go into the PRGM screen and give pad 2 a different sound. Possible?
As for Jorge - that does help as far as layering a filtered kick over itself..so thanks for that bit
Copy that snare track to a different track.
Shift 6, while tapping the second snare pad and
highlight, rotate dial and change the SND on
that second snare pad to the other instrument
you want it to be. Once you record with a pad
LEAVE it where it is. Now you should have the SAME
patterning as snare 1 but on a different track with a
different instrument.
