At $200. How much would a real 808 or 909 cost, at the moment?
Is it going to do both the 808 and 909 sounds, in the same box, in the same drum circuits?
I don't see the problem, if I don't like how it sounds, I won't buy it. If lots of people do buy it, at $200, and it brings in cashflow to Akai, and keeps Akai going, I don't see it is a bad thing.
The MPC market has to be limited, there are only so many people who are going to be interested in the MPCs, they can't survive as a company solely on the MPC, they have to develop and sell other gear as well.

We all know there is only a small handful, of people in the akai lab. I'm not really hating on the new toys. Just tired of then. Taking years to implement the smallest upgrades needed for the ren.
This is not software, I don't think that the same people who are developing MPC Software, who are software programmers, are working on this.

Yes, you are hating on Akai because they **** you over with the Renaissance, that is obvious.
I thought you said a long time ago, either here or on the Akai forums, that you had sold it anyway, because you hated it so much.
I just don't think that hate, directed at this analogue drum machine, is really justified.
