Big business has it clutches on the DJ industry HARD right now and I don't think they're gonna let up until they've sucked it dry .
Big business sucked things dry in the 80's. When they took what they wanted from our Culture, and packaged it for sale.
Hip Hop coming back in the mainstream WILL NOT happen, yeah. Whoever is wating for that, I've never heard of. Those who like that type of music go else where, rather then corporate media. And even if they are just fans, and it's important enough to them, they will find it. And find LOTS and LOTS of it coming out near daily.
Perception changes to what your surrounded with. Like I'm sure that's why I have this perspective because the Culture is all I know. I grew up with it, both my parents enforced it, all my brothers and sisters too. Maybe where your from its a bit harder to find, but when you start looking, you'll really start to see it.
But yeah for corporate american media, yeah never happen. Even those companys say their audiences attention spans and intelligence are not enough to understand any of it. And I used to laugh at people on the internet would say 'they are trying to dumb us down' but now I can see it.
As my mum says, with that music is modern day jim crow. Best way to keep a people down is to keep them dumb.
I've met quite a few people where I live now and all of them had said "I thought I was only Hip Hoppa around here". It's common for that. And this is not directed at anyone in specific, just a qoute I hear a lot lol is "Hip Hop never died, you **** just didn't know where to find it"
I personally would of left the swearing out, but thats just me hahaBut yes. Two completely different worlds. Only time I hear about all that wierd corporate propaganda media stuff is on this forum. Outside of that, nope. And it's cool because it's not for me. Not my groove. I'm not a consumer. I'm a liver. Nothing wrong with being on either side. Like I dont faulght those who are on the commercial side. I dont try and bring them into the culture. Because your either born with it, or your not. Even finding later, when you do, you'll know if it was what was missing your whole life or not.
Edit: Qouted the wrong person... -_-

and laughed…
