Fixing NV slider

I read that you can use the slider on the sample edit screen and that it works better than moving the data wheel. Unfortunately like a lot of the used 2000xl's my slider doesn't work. I saw the replacement slider post on MPC stuff but i'm wondering if thats the only thing I need.

I can confirm it works, but be careful, it puts a lot of stress on the board.

This fix didn't last too long either, replacing it is optimum.

I wouldn't recommend prying it out like that. You could damage the board. Either a solder wick or desoldering pump will work.

i just found out that my slider doesnt work

was looking to have alot of fun

Replaced mine 2 days ago, took me 25 min. There are a total of 8 connections to desolder, you remove the old component and solder the new one in.

I Replaced mine not so long ago. Was an easy fix if you are okay with basic desoldering/soldering.
I wouldn't recommend prying it apart like that, could cause all sorts of secondary problems.
