Def same here...even with 1.0 till now, no real complaints...only the 32-bits version crashes an awful lot (maybe try it? Load up some vst's, even akai's own instruments) but I also never had an mpc prior to the ren, and I immediately understood it, felt it, even...and when researching before buying I decided to urge myself to try to everything via hardware (cuz of the same reason as you no more screen staring and the same reason I like "playing" my keys/chops instead of programing them...i loved the mpc way of working, in the past I always hear mpc beats saw sum mpc always impressed me and somewhat intimidated me, with this Renaissance, this was the moment, and don't get me,wrong never ever ever ever regretted that.. even bought a second hand mpc 5000 for a day, I thought it would be great for live, but I did regret that, didn't understood it, probably because I thought it would be the same as the ren, I could make chops record them, when I wanted to edit stuff I even took my mouse and found my self staring at a screen, that wasn't there...

so I brought it back...so although hardware accessibility is super dope its also nice to have a mouse and screen at least with in reach for a nice (editing)overview...... For me personally in the 20 years of making music it was a game changer.....it brought the fun back, in the complex digitalized binairy coded software environment...there was simplicity logic and most of all fun....like analog fun, the fun I had as little kid playing with synths in music stores...the groove boxes then came pc's with mmedit, fasttrackers, cubase, cool edit pro,madtracker,reason1.0/6.0 protools ,the fun came back a bit with mpk49 combined with reason(with audio tracks) The renaissance topped it and literally a dream came true....but lost a bit of its color
and feel that they're able to stretch its potential software wise and making better\more use of the hardware connection (4 midi out/audio (track) connections its all there)
