Hi, would it be possible to connect an mpc500 to speakers via 3.5mm stereo jack in to 1/4 inch jack via the phones input on the mpc? Also is relatively easy to chop samples up with the mpc500 because i noticed that it didn't have a wavelength editor..

Thanks

Active monitors, meaning the speakers/monitors that have an
amp inside, yes.

Chopping is perfectly fine, a graphic wave editor is not neeeded anyway, it's a
luxury but not necessary.

MPC500 can do anything you want it to do. Some cats are scared but I take my 500 outdoors with a pair of phones and make dope beats. Are you scared mr. Milo?

No scaredy business here either.

Best way to chop is using extract feature or copy and paste. I copy because its much faster which is copying a sample to a few pads and then adjust the points. Kinda like a poor man's NDC feature. But rename each copy or you'll adjust the points for all the pads containing the sample.

Peace
