but would i be able to replace the mpc floppy drive with a floppy drive from a regular computer?

i haven't done anything as yet...and it may sound stupid..so i apologize in advance...don't stone me...lol

what MPC are you referring to. If it is a 60 or 3000 you cannot use just any computer floppy drive. If your drive works okay and you need a solution for not having any DD disks just put a piece of tape over the hole on the righthand side of your HD disk. If your floppy drive does not work at all check back in this forum for a post that says "I think I have it" by me it will tell you what drive to purches to substitute for your original drive. and you can e-mail me for the jumper settings.

thanks for the response

i got a mpc60, w/o the software upgrade.

in any case, your method didn't work(and it's probably because of the mpc not having the software upgrade or something)

anyways, yeah, pls send you whatever links for floppy drives i'd be able to use for the mpc.

peace and greatly appreciated
