This may be stupid question, but yeah I dont know much about 8 out. I dont have it yet in my XL but im trying to learn ready, so I know how to use it when I get it.
So how it works..: is it possible to assing multiple pads(sounds) to go out of same hole of 8 out, when recording out to multitrack recorder?
For excample kick and snare to go out from same hole 1 to my recorders track 1 and/or maybe but all the drum bads in to same hole and all the samples pads in to same. If so, then how many pads can be assigned to same and is there a limit?
..or is it just so that you can assing only one pad to each "hole".
This is what I want to my recorder thru the 8 out/in (just an excample):
track 1: all kicks and snares
track 2: hihats etc
3: horns etc
,,,: main sample (all of the pads in to same track/channel)
...5: bass... and so on
I hope someone understands what Im saying (really really tired now and need to sleep) and I have some answers tomorrow when I wake up. Maybe I write this better then so its easier to understand
