Now I'm not getting fooled 3 times!
This just made my PTSD flare up!!!
Flat out, If Akai would be silly enough.... after all of the bitching and moaning from their target demographic, would create all this hype to NOT capitalize and make the The MPC "Legacy, X, Eclipse....whatever" not be standalone in some way, they deserve all of the ridicule coming their way.
It should at least function as a better form-factor MPC 4000 in standalone. That enough is good for me! It's obvious that the "Live" should be capable on paper. Are they building a flagship or nah....?
But this IS AKAI we are talking about....
All the signs point to 2.0's eminence coming VERY soon. The hardware on the other hand, will most likely be prototypes on the NAMM floor with a "late-2017" release date. (We ALL know what that means...
)
We just gotta keep it in our pants for another week or two. AKAI better not screw this up.
Akai MPC is "Spiderman the Movie" to me rite now. After 3 movies, A weak Rhino feature(I mean what if the Juggernaut was a cyborg?) I realize how I was fooled by the new CGI and wasted supervillain roles.
They need a WHOLE 2 hour movie with Peter Parker sittin comfy in that black Spiderman symbiote suit - not fighting it.
Akai need a WHOLE 2.0 update movie like the old Digidesign PT7 DVDs showing an Ableton Live featured software on top of a MPCX with NO BUGS.
software ladies n gents.......MPC software v2.0(heart) not hardware(Hollywood)

They better not mess this up
THIS TIME.
