MPC 'Live' and 'X' demonstration in Japan. Nothing new to the table, see it as an stretched out version of the NAMM videos

Well I am glad you're happy. You didn't upgrade to 1.9 yet?
Oh by the way that track is hot, that's some WuTang joint, man I can see Ghost Face, RaeKwon and Inspecta Deck all over that and killing that beat!!!
I kept meaning to draw a line in the sand and take the leap to 1.9 but I just never got round to it.....now I figure I may as well just sit tight and wait for 2.0........and still I'm a bit concerned that I might not like it...
Which track are you referring to?

I bet they're gonna drop a video of 2.0 the moment the devices are out.

How would they do that when they have 8 outs on the X? Are you talking about the software?

Hmm, not sure what the number of outputs have to do with the number of tracks available, or recording in stereo or mono. 8 outputs (really 6 with the main outs) is workable for sending to a mixer, which is what a lot of analog engineers will want, but I think having the option for a least mono or stereo tracks should be standard. I really feel that if the X would simply allow 16 audio tracks to mirror the 16 pads, mono or stereo, that the machine would appeal to a lot more people wanting to record and launch, or trigger loops. Essentially a 16 track looper. For me, not wanting to use a DAW, but could get by 16 audio tracks, would be an attractive product.
And I know there's the topic of "what an MPC" ... "IS" but 16 audio tracks in 2017 is hardly excessive, even in a stand alone machine. I had an Akai DPS24 15 years ago, you guessed it, 24 tracks. Lol.
