There were some questions earlier in the thread about what the MPC X has compared to MV8800 and someone here in a recent post mentioning that someone should list a hardware sampler with 1/10 the features. I urge you to check out the new thread on mv8800 in other samplers forum to see realtime time stretching demonstrated, equivalent to clip launch beat matched pattern play, pattern roll besides pad roll, the functions of VSS mastering, ME50 guitar fx and modeling, SH-101 style built in bass synth, direct to disk recording, auto chop, SP-808 style phrase sampling, MPC style swing, emulation of SP 1200 style lofi, and a whole lot more under the hood than most people know about.
Gear chat video featuring Mike Acosta back on MV8800 and they mention how excited they are for the MPC X and called it the next evolution in 16 pad sampler gear. They love the X too.
I'm sure there is room to appreciate both and why I still want an X.
