AikiGhost wrote:What I wonder is since the Force is getting a 4th synth "Hype: Wavetable, subtractive, FM and sampling" will MPC live get it too?

MPC-Tutor wrote:It's clearly the same OS at the core, they've just reworked it to fit the different focus. It's also clear that this is not an MPC and is targeted to a different market. Although it seems to support loading of MPC kits and instruments.
I can see lots of new stuff in that OS that will hopefully make its way to the MPC (Air effects & Hype for a start)

Fanu wrote:Saw Akai just said on FB, "This is a special OS, MPC 2.4 however to be announced at NAMM".
MPC-Tutor wrote:I think they'll put a lot of the Force stuff into the MPC firmware. For a start, the MPC users are really going to kick off if they don't.
I also cannot see the target customers overlapping too much on these products, different workflows, different focus, different hardware options. If I was buying something with a primary focus of clip-based live work, I'd be going for the Force every time.

Not going to pre-order... but willing to see what the market looks like six or so months after release.

It's not a good news for us Mpc users.
From the website: https://force.akaipro.com/
Storage 16 GB (user storage, 10 GB pre-installed content), 4 GB (MPC operating system)
They do not mention the MPC Software in controller mode at all. They only mention Ableton.
Frisbi wrote:4gb?
Damn.
I knew they were making it.
We are **** up so.
Force will have better fx and warping.
Mpc not.
