Once it's readily available I'll look at making a sub forum for it.

Afraid the product isn't gonna go to market?

I also think he was using his tips.. maybe his nails.. And whats up with the nail polish anyway??

But if the screen is the same as the Live you don’t have to worry and you can dismiss this as a user error..

Alway found the FX pop up to be a bit tricky to expand, I think the 'active' area for each entry is quite small.

With respect to nails, due to my classical guitar playing I have long-ish nails on my left hand (they extend 2-3mm beyond the finger tip) and I've not experienced any issues on my Live/Touch in this respect, you naturally tap touchscreens with the underside tip of your finger, i.e. the skin pad, not your nail, it's quite an unnatural action to hit it with your nail, you'd really have to do it on purpose.

There's nothing free about giving up your time as an unpaid volunteer, so IMO only beta test if you get a kick out of the process (whatever that kick may be, e.g. enjoying the process of bug testing, helping shape the future of a product, having early access to upcoming gear etc).

*assumption incoming*
What makes me always second guess it is that if you were beta-testing something like this for real, you couldn't talk about it on YT. I couldn't say that this is what I'm working on and this is where it is most likely because of some NDA. That's my rub. I GET it, but it owuld be downright painful to of had this in my possession for even 6 months before announcement, and not be able to show off or even discuss the roadmap, this isn't some incremental update to the Live/X, its a new machine with a new workflow and different objectives...despite being based off the same hardware as the Live/X, its still a big deal in concept.

Hmm, how do you even beta-test something like this from a DJ perspective? I know for cars they often have them wrapped in some weird paintjob/wrapping to hide what they are, but I'm sure durability and physical setup in a club atmosphere was one of the "check boxes" for this, butt you can't just take it to a random booth and setup, without expecting it to possibly leak. hmm.

Some beta testers actually have proper environments to test. Some don’t.
NDA binds you to an agreement to NOT show off, grown man shit, don’t show off.

Beta testing is time consuming. If done for something free then you are shorting potential buyers as your not even doing a good service, that’s selfish. If your doing it for free stuff AND actually interested in testing and testing then it’s all good.

Simple.

Yeah that was live session alright.  Clean compressed Vocals, Vocal Harmonies, Adlibs, Microphone not picking up the Pad. Horrible marketing. Just show the RAW live performance. :Sigh: :Sigh: :Sigh: :Sigh:

I don't mean show off like "look what I got/am doing", show off as in "Yo look what's coming!".
