I’ve been lurking in this thread for a while and have been having these thoughts. In general I’m a little bummed about 2.4. FX??? It’s okay. But I have enough in my workflow already. What I don’t have is sampling capabilities on par with the 4000. That’s what I really want. Until then, anything else for me is just meh. Glad people are happy about the coming effects though. But I’ve already invested in plugins in my workflow, that these coming in 2.4 are just nice to have - but certainly nowhere near “oh wow, I can do THIS now...”. When first hearing about 2.4 I thought - oh, might be pretty cool... but this is just me though - no way I’d ever add reverb or compression in the MPC when I mix in Logic Pro and I have access to much better FX (IMO). Nothing about 2.4 changes my creative capabilities or improves my workflow, so meh. But those producing completely in the MPC, I can see how this would be more interesting.
Anyway, just agreeing with the quoted post. Will return to my lurking in this topic.
What's so special about the MPC-4000 vs the MPC X?

We already have "Stop tap twice" to place the play head to the beginning and kill audio. why do we need or want another step with Shift+Stop to kill audio? Makes no sense.
