I think it's a little bit more nuanced, as i didn't interpret deleting the demo files as being harmfull. As my experience with most hardware i've owned didn't had this issue. I guess it's just a mindstate of thing: Start fresh with an empty machine without all the pre-installed content. Giving the option to delete demo files whcih takes away that startup screen is a bit of a weird decision (at least some sort of warning about it should come up), probably just a software issue. Where you can write files, you can also delete files. Software wise it does make sense, just not well thought out.
A-n-y-w-a-y let's stop this silly discussion because the solution is easy

If you contact akai support and say you are a moron like me who accidently deleted that demo folder, they will sent you an autorun file and steps how to do it. No need to bring it back and wait for weeks
