Or, buy an MPC Live with a built-in battery, since - you know - it's
a thing. Many actually prefer the larger pads of a traditional MPC. If you've ever used pad controller with smaller pads, and you think it's just as enjoyable experience to use them as a proper sized pad controller, you're being disingenuous.
CR: My man David "Fingers" Haynes doesn't to seem to have an issue, with small pads. (It's all about the person)Or, buy a Live and not have to worry about extra gear. Additionally, if you've ever brought your Live on the road and wanted to do some record sampling and crate dig, you're missing out. Oh wait - that's right - you don't have an MPC Live.
CR: Had the LIVE and X and returned them both. Crate digging on the road. NAH I'm good with that. Cause when we go dig, we buy crates and mark the records of things we find interesting. What are you getting on about? Even a "cheap" SSD is better than a comparable SD Card or USB Stick - both price and performance. And what does backing up your data have to do with anything? Nice strawman, Charlie.
CR: Always make 3 back up. 1 on-sight, 2 off-sight. Therefore: 1 TB drive need an additional 3 drives. Nonsense. Honest? LMAO

You
do realize that there are more uses than just keys for wireless controllers, right? Additionally, laying down pads and strings is perfectly capable over Bluetooth MIDI, latency and all. I mean, if you're an
honest keyboard player and know how to play.
CR: We know who's not a honest musician, if you think Bluetooth doesn't have latency. Huh? The Live
does have WiFi, and Ableton Link works perfect over it. And being able to wirelessly sync to Splice (and update your library) is pretty damn useful, unless you're a fan of wires. Have you ever performed with other musicians using Ableton Link to wirelessly sync your gear? It's pretty awesome - I suggest you give it a try. Branch out and learn.
CR: I have and it works better using cables. This works if you have a PA and you're performing, and want to utilize more outs.
CR:That's true for a personal monitor.
