That's just how some people are. Some want more and some want to stay the same. I try to see the best in all situations. I've worked with massive track counts and we usually end up grouping/bussing to 8 or 12 tracks. Because trying to mix 200+ tracks is insane.
I've also worked with full bands and went up to 24 tracks, and end up grouping/bussing to 4 or 8 tracks.
I had the live and X and returned them because, they were not ready for my purpose or I was not ready for it's purpose. It took them 2 and half years and many of the bugs are worked out, but many of them are not.
I'm really interested in reading information from those, who took a deeper dive into the functions of the machines. Just like speed runners and completionists who know, every crevice of a video game. In the last couple of year, there's been some cool tricks, but most of things are just surface.
However, when people do find interesting work around, they want to charge people for the information. Which negates the reason of having a message board. I know, MPC Tutor sales the MPC BIBLE, but he's also serving a educational functions, that Akai Pro themselves do not serve and I find value in that.

We all in some shape of form work the same way, because we optimize and optimize are workflow, until we've trimmed off all the fat. That's why I made the statement about, the standalone time stretch.
Some people don't like it because it alters the sounds, yet some people do like because it, alters the sound. If they clean up the algorithm, it could destroy the imperfect unique sonics that the machine produces. Just like how some user like the jitter and random timing of the SP 1200's sequencer. While for some it a pain in the neck.
But it's the flaws of the SP 1200, that people celebrate now.
