I was listening to a dude instruct how to load up your own keygroup programs on youtube. He had a MPC Live. I noticed there was a warp button in the program edit section which you could apply to samples in your key group program.
I went to go follow his steps and it worked, but then I noticed the little spot where the warp button was supposed to be wasn't there. Just a bare grey part of the UI in program edit mode. How weird. Then I remembered I was too excited and forgot to update my MPC One to the 2.7.2 from 2.7.1 or whatever, I hoped that would fix this seemingly strange omission of function (FOR WARP).
I am posting because I can't find a soul who talks about this. Do you know if there is some setting I need to change, or are MPC One's (apart from having the same software as the X and Live) actually operating without the warp function for keygroup programs.
Sound Design wise, the warp allow one to load in a sample that maybe a little more than just a one shot sample and play it in a scale keygrouped, but with the same tempo just different pitch. Without warp, you have to accept that the note and the tempo are going to change (higher and lower up the scale as you play).
