And do I just have to make a Sequence to last for loads of bars for this to happen? Obviously I understand if these are the 2 fundamental differences in workflow between a Model Samples/Elektron and a One
Again apologies if this is in the tutorials in the Bible that I'm going through, it's just that I feel excited and inspired and just want to create rather than be held back during this initial honeymoon phase. (But I am working my way through the tutorials as well)
They drift further apart because both have their own individual length. The MPC however doesn't ''allow'' this because the samples get replayed from the sample start point when the sequence starts again. So there's not really a way to make a sequence to get two different length loops going and getting them to ''phase'' over eachother like how steve reich and others did that with their tape loops.
However, there is some sort of fun hack around this. I had a couple of afternoons and played some piano loops and got quite some cool results.
