Thank you. I did try my best to educate myself and without having the unit, I asked here. And I received an answer above that was very specific. So, as far as I am concerned, this forum worked for me. I do not think anyone was holding back knowledge. It turns out the manual is quite complicated. And the MPC Live 2 is actually quite complicated for a first time user as well.
But I did want a unit where I could change tempo playing live without menu diving. And fortunately, that appears to be the case with the Q-Link.
And by the way, with COVID, it is a lot more difficult for myself and probably others to just check one out in person and try it that way.
So, thank you and everyone else.

Unfortunately a lot of folks come here looking for tech support, sales questions, etc... and while some of us may have experience, we don't always know. There's maybe ten or twenty regulars on here... and none of us have anything to do with Akai as far as I am aware.
Frequently the "manual" response is more about doing the best to educate yourself, and less about folks holding back knowledge. We don't have all these devices, and while we may be able to guess, that's not going to help you make an informed decision.
