Hi folks. After many years of DAW production I have made the decision to return to MPC Land. The main reason is that I have a chunk of boom-bap tracks that are pretty much there, but in some cases DAW timing is just too jittery and inconsistent. I used the classic 2000 for many years before switching to a DAW so I know that machine inside and out. Basically my plan is to recreate (more or less) the tracks I have by moving the samples to the MPC and re-sequencing. I've spent a long time getting my sounds how I want them, so mainly I need rock solid timing/swing. I know a 2000xl would be great for this but because of speed/budget/limited interface inputs I'm wondering if the MPC One would do the job just as well and faster. I'm an old head and a drummer and sensitive to granular timing issues. But I would be into sequencing in the MPC One, exploding the tracks/exporting/importing and finishing in Logic, I'm just not sure if the MPC ONE is mature enough yet to do all this reliably and with the real classic timing feel. Any feedback is super appreciated..thanks very much.
