Bro! I get it ... life is hard sometimes. And we tend to carry our anger with us. But please, stop bugging me already.. I asked for an ID! You don't have the info I am looking for. I have accepted that after your first insults. You trying to insult me for not having the same opinion as you doesn't add to your credibility anyway. You simply have no leverage here and much less on me which is why you try to insult me. You always go that way when someone disagrees with you? If you do, then this is quite toxic I must say. Alright. Was nice chatting with you. Gotta go now and spend some time with some less toxic people who know that discussions are not about insults.

Take your anger, pour it into music and create a banger! But don't direct your anger toward other people.

Ok...back to the Positivity...

What else would you guys like to see in a New MPC?

More Ram and more performing CPU to handle more complex effects.
GUI mixer like Force.
More polished workflow with less bugs.
A better way to buy plugins without having to go through 3rd party sellers.

Correction.

1. Midi file audition from Standalone mode

Back to wish lists for a new MPC?
* Better modular integration, LFOs or other output
* Larger eurorack 10v range... 0-10v, -5-5v, -10v-0v
* More eurorack outputs - 16 would be great
* Eurorack inputs - 4-8 would be awesome to be able to record euro level signals
* 8 audio inputs, might consider dumping my main mixer...
* Midi CC control of q-links for external automation/control

Dreams
* Class compliant as a USB audio device (similar to SP404 mk2...)
* Open Source integration... would love to run plenty of complex synths from Pure Data, C Synth, and way way more...
* Audio and Midi over ethernet
* Improved touch screen...
* Better keyboard and any sort of mouse integration
* Universal plugin/effects storage to make it easier to save/copy/load content

For me - the additional RAM that comes with the Key 61 seems like the bare minimum for all new MPC's (or Force) going forward, but what I'd really like to see is a more powerful CPU. That SoC is so long in the tooth, it's not even funny. And with a faster CPU (and the added RAM), certainly they'd be able to add:

  • More max instances of plugins in standalone (say from 8 to 16) with a faster CPU.
  • More complex plugins that have higher voice counts, more complex DSP, etc. with a faster CPU.
  • A tilt-screen.
  • More inputs/outputs (even if this is expressly the domain of the X). I know USB Class Compliant is a solution right now, but it seems to be so hit or miss, plus I'd rather it be an all-in-one anyway.. :lol:
  • For the love of all that is holy, no more soft rubberized chassis. :WTF: We all know this is an eventual sticky mess after so many years, as all VOC's break down. No if's, and's, or but's about it.

The rest of my wishlist is mostly software related:

  • Disk streaming! Let's get the MPC on-par with Force.
  • Keygroup improvements - modulation destinations for Filter Cutoff and Resonance (to the Mod Wheel) among many other things.
  • Keygroup and Drum Program improvements - more filter options, such as different models (analog, ladder/Moog-style, Classic/modern, etc) to choose from. Free running LFO.
  • Keygroup and Drum Program improvements - add a "granular" module, so we can make trule granular sampler/synth Keygroups.
  • Re-ordering of effects.
  • 1:1 tracks.
  • The mixer that's on the Force.
  • Looper improvements (there are so many things that need to happen for the Looper to be truly great).

That's all I can think of for now. :lol:

First of all I am really sorry for what happened here :Sigh: Since I was part if it I think an apology is in order :)

What I would really love to see has been said multiple times already. And I wouldn’t say no to almost all of them.

But HW wise for me it boils down to:
* better screen: does not have to be bigger by a lot. Maybe by 1inch? But more precise when doing gestures would be nice and not that wobbly. I find the 7inch displays of the other machines so much nicer to use for some reason.
* faster CPU that is fast enough to drive a fully equipped 32/32 interface with good latency and still enough power for my SW wishes (see below)
* maybe some ram options (8, 16, 32GB)
* The same amount of inputs as outputs
* clickwheel: since I have a One and even tried the force I find leaving the jog for an ok button really clunky - or replace the jog with a trackball at the same position and add mouse support that way :hmmm:
* I dunno if I need 16 qlinks but maybe 8 like in the Force is enough if they also bring the Force mixer?
Maybe they even make the new X modular? So in the future you just replace the SoC-board and have more power and don’t need to buy a new MPC when you still are happy with your current one. But that is expensive I think.

Sometimes I am not sure if there should be a real hard line between the MPC and the force. except for some SW advantages of the Force (see below) I often envy the 64 pads it has: no bank switching with multiple samples, easier access to multiple octaves on the machine itself. The sequencing features it brings. But this is a different story for maybe a new Force and not an MPC. After all the MPC is the MPC and not the Force.

Most wishes are with software though:
* bring the mixer gui of the force inkl insert and master automation/fx
* things a faster CPU and more ram will make possible for sure:
* graphic EQs, shaper etc
* 16-20 audio tracks of unlimited length through disk streaming
* more than 8 internal Synths at the same time
* an arranger like the force but in addition to the current song mode. Where I can record my audio in for my downmix
* the X has a billion knobs but still not all convenience features are mapped to knobs. Why can’t I select notes in grid mode and press Delete to delete them for example? This eraser button feature just makes me curse way to often.
* different track length does loop the bars graphical as well. This yellow line and the track that just keeps running was a bad design choice imho.
* a real loop function with loop markers that’s intuitive to use.
* automation that can be created as a single segmentable line (like in Live for example)

Maybe more but these feel the most pressing when I think about it.

Edit: way to big fingers for that small keyboard

'Track View' that looks like it used to on every MPC before this generation and actually shows you the tracks with a graphic of what's playing and when.
Funny, the MPC Software does it that way but the standalone units can't.. Think it even showed it on my MPC Studio Black too.

How bout a REAL sampler engine finally too? Not everybody likes to just play back packs of loops, some of us actually like to design and mess with our sounds and Im tired of using the computer to do it beforehand or sending stuff to my EMU that can do it in its sleep.
