Meanwhile my 1st gen iPad is 12 years old and in particular on early models amazingly efficient touch interfaces have been developed. SamplR probably the most outstanding app, iElectribe, iMS20, the virtual Fairlight (Peter Vogel), iVCS3, Waldorf Nave, PPG apps.
Yet there never has been (and imho still isn‘t) any DAW app with an ergonomically valid approach... it seems developers don‘t see the forest for the trees, dunno
Touch is not easy to implement and there are dozens of ways to control response and visualize it. Even in IOS land the vast majority of apps simply sucks in GUi design.
