All in all, if you want better effects, save your money get a soundcard which you should have anyway, sell that card if you have it, and use vst's
Why wouldnt you? You can make your sounds sound totally different, with filters, delays, crazy effects, seriously an unlimited amount of effects are out there, some free some not, compressors eq's etc.
I have been making music for a while now and through my years of using different gear, the one product ( as far as effects go) I would never suggest is that crappy excuse for effects.
I spent a long time tweaking the effects in that card and was never satisfied but maybe thats because I have high expectations of what my sounds should sound like. Anyway argue if you guys want, but the bottom line is you can do much better without that card.
