for convenince i prefer to work all in the box; so at least doing stems in controller mode I can do everything from the mpc live screen, i dont like to do much of anything on the PC with regard to production; until after the beat is tracked out, but all the creative stuff i like to get done without looking at the screen.
also I am not obsessed with the so called best quality; the akai stems sounds good enuff for me; but i have never been obessed with the highest quality sound.
i'd rather use mp3 instead of flacc, even tho flacc is said to be superiour; but imo the sound difference is neglible in most instances.[/quote]
FYI. If you don't mind sampling from your phone or tablet, KOALA has stem separation.
