Okay, the auto-save feature is god. BUT, you have to create a project and save it before it will autosave. This is so annoying. It should autosave every new project into a temporary default folder before creating a new saved project yourself.... My DAW does this why doesn't MPC??? Is MPC ages behind by not having this feature?

 Man just make a new Project first. Before anything use a custom template Project & save a new Project as soon as you load it with the current date or whatever. It's not that serious to most. Comparing the MPC to a DAW will only frustrate you, so I'd advise against it. :smh:

And after some time you fill up the storage (most likely internal one) by accident.
MPC never was and it is not a DAW, even though now it can do a shit ton of stuff a DAW can do.

Adjust your expectations or change the tool you use. There are things that are individual deal breakers for any platform. This is a small problem.

Frankly I think auto save isn’t necessarily a good thing . I prefer saving my work often at intentional points worth saving. If a go off on a tangent from something I liked and don’t like what I did, it’s easier to recover the last known good point by reloading that instead of going though the undo history because I overwrote something I was happy with with an auto save.

For me, it works just fine being turned off.

Shift+save all day. Its instinctual at this point

Yup! To the point that I keep saving by mistake when I just want to into the pad mixer (Shift+Mixer) on the Force. :Sigh: Which messed me up a few times when I still had an old Project loaded & started a new by just erasing what was there but not creating a new folder/Project first & saving over the last Project. That what backups is for.
But if the OP is having a problem with having to make a folder first, this is not the device for you & as Lamp said drop it now before you really run into something worth bitchin' about on the MPC.
