I'd like the MPC to continue to send midi tempo ticks after stop is pressed and the MPC is idle. All my other hardware midi sequencers do. It's lame.
My Sequential synths with midi clocked LFOS and arpeggiators etc do not operate when the MPC is not playing so patches sound different because the LFOs aren't running. You can't just jam on arpeggio patches because the arp doesn't run so nothing happens when you press the keys. It's a nightmare for playing around with sound design.
Some of them (Korg/Roland) switch back to internal midi clock (no option to turn this off on the Prologue) when the clock stops and it just creates midi timing issues and effects glitches when you press play again. This is an absolute nightmare if you want to sample it.
Elektron gear, Cirklon, Squarp, Bigwig, Cubase, Reason all support this and it's really **** annoying that the new "midi centrepiece of my studio" is unable to clock my gear when it's not playing.
