More sounds and key groups adding sampling plugins like mini d & sub factory.. those who are complaining can go through what native instruments are doing to there support base and not listening to there customers and put out controller after controller and not address bugs and features they took away.. I posted on NI forum if you can't beat em join them..

I'll stick with akai!

Have you ever used a sample editor like Adobe Audition?
The one we have on MPC is really basic, it comes from older MPC and has never been improved.
It's really difficult to sync samples with bars on the editor of sample edit, the stretch function is sub standard, it's ok to tune samples and chop works fine.
I never make deep editing on Mpc, it's not good at that, I edit with Audition and then port the edited sample on Mpc ssd.
The Mpc editor features are the same since day 1 and are at the stage of 20 years ago.
Then, if Akai wanted, they could add some modern features, the cpu is good, there are endless possibilities but it seems nobody care about it.

OOOOOOO Ok I see now...You're comparing Desktop Software to This Standalone Product. That's why Akai gave us the ability to open it up in the MPC Software to get Extra with it.(Not me..I'm strickly Standalone)

Yea Akai may not be for you Bruh...You need a High End Sample Editor to split Ones n Zeros into Tiny Little Pieces lol. I respect that

Not at all.
I need a sample player with more advanced features because I use it mostly as a sample player.
And the current sample features we have are maybe the same of Mpc2000 or so, dating 1997.
Then I can see you don't want to understand what I am talking about and you like to be sarcastic.
Great.
Are you aware you are using sample features of 20 years ago?
Yes? No? Maybe?
And are you aware that they took out programs from MPC3 which was one fundamental of MPC?
Yes? No? Maybe?
Are you aware that the more we go to daw style territory, the less we will see sampler improvements?
Yes? No? Maybe?

I'm not speaking for him but for what I read he wasn't being sarcastic.. unless your doing video and it sounds like you are you do not need deep advance sampling editing tools.. what hell are you doing.. edit the sample and move on.. you are a complainer and lonley on at that.. go use something else your a headache. I still use my old gear and it sounds great

A sampler doesn't need advanced sample features.
Great.
It needs romplers.
Here we go.
Better reply I got in last 3 years.

Have to agree here, if you need truly advanced sampling features then the MPC is always going to be behind Raven, Halion or Kontakt.

Plus you seem to 100% be ignoring that the MPC recently got twice as many sample layers, and improvements to the slicing algorithms UX wise. You're saying it's being ignored and that's not true.

The genius credit goes to you my friend.. use what you have and stop complaining about your lack of talents hits were made with one guitar ... now edit that :-D

Every time I get these replies I wonder if there is an idiot on the other side or what.
Use an Atari, my friend, countless masterpieces were made with it.
Do you get how stupid is this way of thinking?

True, I forgot about the layers but I didn't know about slicing improved algorithms.
Slicing is always been good anyway.
But honestly, do you think that editing of samples is good enough, do you find it comfortable and advanced?

Yes, I'm comfortable editing samples in the MPC, I would love granular stuff, but we're not getting that until they bump the CPUs in the hardware and we buy new units, so I don't care that much.

I mean really the things I would like to see in the MPC are more like performance features. Things like mediocre MPE support and honestly a decent guitar amp sim, the ones it has are terrible.

Getting rid of the clips section and not replacing it with some sort of looping to tempo ability in regular drum and keygroups doesn't make sense to me, we should be able to loop a few samples in a Sequence.

What exactly are you looking for in the sampling section? because IMO the main improvement would be even more layers for realistic drum sets, but it's IMO kind of against the whole digital reality of the MPC to start in on that. Beyond that to me tempo looped samples is the main thing, and they have that in 2 so...

More manipulating features, better stretching features, better ways to sync the samples to bpm, there are many things that could be done with the good cpu we have.
And I also would love more granularity, there are some hardware granular synths where you can use your own samples, like Tasty Chip or something like that, and that would make a lot of sense in MpC.
Anyway, many things could be done to use samples in a creative way, focusing on sample as a starting point, I just think that Akai doesn't care so much about that, I am not complaining, I am just trying to be realistic.
There is nothing bad if Akai chooses to make Mpc a daw in a box but it's not for me, and I think that Mpc this way would be a missing opportunity, it could really be a great instrument more then just a daw in a box, and that was its starting point, an electronic performative instrument, with track mutes, qlinks, sequences, to be played live.

Well it seems that the original developer is OK with where Akai are taking the MPC, that's evident in him being on the "legends" panel.

Ok, let's stop it here, I am sorry I don't want to monopolize the thread, it's about Namm, let's all have fun with Mpc, at the end I am really liking it.
But they didn't add any feature. They added layers and improved algorithms, which is good.
Adding features means focusing on it and really coming out with something interesting, I mean, we can load long samples now, more of them, but the features are still about shorter samples as it was in 1997. The Cpu is there, many things can be done with it.

I agree let's just focus on namm 2025 we don't know what's really coming a few screenshots that's all in the coming days we will see more.. I'm sure there some goodies you will or will not like ..

on my 3000 I got around 20 seconds mono samping and at the time I had a roland xp50 keyboard midi sequence into the mpc we have come along way. Now if I use my 3000/2000 I use it with serato sample and use maschine software or battery 4..

or kits i created. What i am getting at yes the MPC is not a daw and won't be but its a hell of alot better than in the 90's when it took us hours to make a beat and hours to record then. Let's enjoy what comes next :-D
