I got the 2500 with JJOS cool box, but new MPCs are way better & sounds just the same but can get a lot louder without clipping (24bit=higher headroom & low noise floor). I would just get any of the gen1 MPC or the Force & limit myself to the features that's on the 1000/2500.
I don't get why people think the extra features are going get in the way. Just set up the 16 Pad Menu shortcuts to the features you want to have quick access to them & ignore the rest until you need them. Either way, good luck!
