The RT Swing feature on the Sample seems to work differently from the MPC’s Q-Link Swing. Instead of applying traditional swing, it behaves more like a non-destructive combination of quantize and a simple backward timing shift.
When RT Swing is set to 0% / 50% / 100%, notes near 0 ticks and 480 ticks are progressively quantized toward the grid according to the selected amount.
Notes near 240 ticks and 720 ticks, however, are not quantized toward a swing grid. They appear to be simply shifted later in time. Applying RT Swing to an already swung sequence pushes these notes even further back.
It might have been easier to use if RT Swing only shifted the 240/720-tick positions instead of affecting both quantization and timing.
