I suppose my answer to those questions is i wouldn’t have used a sound or sample I didn’t have the right to use in the first place. The likelihood of getting caught has nothing to do with that choice.
How would they know? I’m sure software and scanning will only get more powerful over time. Would spitfire actively search for their sounds in songs to make sure everyone who published did so from a licensed plugin? If it was cheap and easy enough, maybe. They already have DRM so people can’t use the plug-in for free this isn’t much of a stretch. Interesting this community looks to protect their own, but cares not for the people and companies who make the plug-ins. Those dudes have bills just like the rest of us.
Anyways, my decisions of what and what not do in life are based on more than “will I get in trouble for this?”

Just a hypothetical question about a scenario that wouldn’t ever affect me. Spent far more time replying to comments here on the issue than it took to ask a simple question in passing.
