how are you guys creating drum rolls/fills with your 60s?
are you mostly sampling drum rolls or creating your own by messing with time signatures/tempo changes and banging 'em out yourself?
i can't really remember any specific drum rolls from hiphop tracks that i'd like to emulate but i know they're out there.
also, has anyone heard someone really get down on a 60 (or any other MPC really) like their drum sequences sounded like a live drummer? do you mess with swing settings for this?
just curious. thanks!
p.s. sometimes i think the old BDP 808 (?) drum rolls/fills sound good but that's not really the sound i'm after. they kinda sound cheesy ya know what i'm sayin? they sound too robotic/computer-like, when i'm looking for the live drum kit sound.
