What is zoning? Is it when you split up the sample into pads automatically?

yes. or you could say "when you spread a sample onto seperate pads" very useful feature.

Is the CPU to weak for zoning, timestretch, reverse or what?

i wouldnt say that i love useing my PC with the 1k, your computer can handle alot better sound quality and higher bit rate then any MPC. However, benlewismaverick had a good point... why the **** would u advertise it as a portable MPC if u need a puter to do most of your sample work? To me portable means i can Zone a uckin sample in my car while im going 90 down the freeway... well just thats just my opinion...
