what's up family?

I am helping a friend with his setup. I did a huge search on here about this and am coming up with theories not solutions. I am not familiar with the micro korg. I was wondering if anyone can help.

Here's what we have going right now:

MPC
midi mode - receive channel 1
soft thru: off (also tried the other settings)
sync mode - in: 1; out: A (also tried the other settings)

On main screen:

type: MIDI; pgm: off ; Midi: 1A (also tried the other settings)

micro korg

midi channel: 1
local: off
clock: external

Is there anything else that needs to be done? we can't hear anything.

Any and all help is appreciated. Please no jokesters.

Thanks

I have the 1K<--->Micron...MPC output and Micron output into UB1202 mixer. Now if you want to control the synth sounds, soft thru must be on. My Micron has 3 options for local control: On(keys & MIDI), Off(MIDI only), and Off + pattern send.
MPC
Type: MIDI
PGM:Micron Bass, i.e.
MIDI:1A
Active Receive:1
Soft-Thru:A
Micron
Local Cntrl: Off(MIDI only)
MIDI Channel Setup:Multichannel
MIDI Sync: ext
MIDI Channel Tx:1

you need audio cable from the korg to an amp. And local=on to hear what your playing.

So are u trying to use the korg as a controller/module? Or are you trying to sample korg sounds into the MPC?

did u read my post :?: i'm doing exactly what you're trying to do. recording a midi track, which in returns plays back the sound on the synth. TURN ON SOFT THRU IN YOUR MPC!

what this guy is trying to do is play the korg's sounds via the korg's keys(bass line....) into/record in the mpc
