HEy.. I'm running my 1000 as a slave to Logic.. doing all the editing in the Hyper edit in Logic but everytime that i use the FX board when i go back to it the next day .. I never seem to have the FX saved. When i log out of a session i always save the program(with samples and replacing them) but i was wondering whether the program can save the FX with it or whether I have to have a song / sequence going to make sure that the FX get saved. It may be all straightforward but i can't figure it . PLease help..THanx

but if your using logic theres not much point in using the MPC FX...they are not a patch on the logic plugins....they are only really useful if you dont have any other option...apart from the bit-grunger perhaps......

but how can I use the logic plugins to play the sounds in the MPC if I am using the MPC as a MIDI device slaved to Logic.. Ive got Logic as the sequencer/master and then i have four outs coming into my desk (01x) as audio from the MPC. I just want to be able to save some of the settings in the effx mixer like the phase shifter.

Dude, why are you using the mpc as a slave? The whole point with the mpc is the sequencer and all... If you use Logic as sequencer you might as well just use a VST sampler and save a lot of time and not only that, you will save money..

i guess i like the sound that i get of it going through my desk and the way that i can play the pads into and then arrange the hits visually in logic. i dont always do it like that as i sometimes use the exs24 but it gives me some variety. there are so many ways to do it with logic that i am just really seeing which works best. All good things to think about though eh..Still any answer about the FX saving thing.. I'd stil like to do it if i could.

So doodr.. I've taken what you said on board but i now am having sync probs. Ive got logic starting and being controled by the transport on the MPC .. but anyone got any idea how i configure Logc or the MPC to loop when the MPC does. THe cycle on Logic is making no imact as MPC is now the master but I cant get it to start at the start. In the Synchronisation section i have it on MIDI clock and auto enable ext sync is off... mmmm. Logic just keeps paying when the MPC has looped..

1st up...The logic seq is easier to use than the 1K step edit.
2nd...The MPC sound is unique...recorded as audio you capture that uniqueness....VST samplers, unless they are more expensive than the 1K, are pretty rubbish

Fire pants...why not record the MPC as audio then compress..(whatever) the audio file to get much better effects...but you can save the FX sends within the program, the FX settings in AllSEQSONGS..
Using the MPC as a master is not such a good idea the midi timing in not as good...you will also have problems syncing external synths...Logic is a much better master...
