haha you know greg, i mostly play loud, obnoxious rock music with a group of hairy bastards. in fact the only gigs i've ever gotten paid from were rock gigs.. not that money is the reason i make music , in fact it's the last thing on my mind when playing. i do this - as cliched as it may sound - purely for the love of music.

and even tho one of my crates is filled with hiphop lp's and i like to make some beats every now and then, i'm really not what you'd call a typical "hiphop cat". i'm more into jeans and sneakers than velour suits and timbs.

"im just generalising to clarify my already clouded point- damn you guys are too deep...."

yeah i know.. i'm just messing with ya ;)

I just got overwhelmed by the amount of links and I had to pass. Nothing against grabbin breaks and such, but its like, I'm gonna spend how long downloading these when i got mad records I haven't tapped and all of these drums have been used before, so I'm gonna save my harddrive space and pass on these.

Nothing against anyone who's gonna chop these up though, I just can't commit the hard drive space to all of these.

The thing is, it's weird to me to consider digging as some weird little subculture that's just on the side.....and that it's nerdy.
The whole hiphop music culture is born out of digging.
Afrika Bambaataa and Kool Herc weren't downloading MP3's and buying Dusty Fingers.
They invented this, and digging was an integral part of it.
Only now in the year 2005 with our short memories and DSL can people dis digging and call it a nerd thing. People were digging to make all those classic tracks we all love.
Plus, where do you think those break .wav files came from? Somebody put in the elbow grease to dig all that shtt up!

I'm not saying don't sample these .wavs, or commenting on the validity of doing that or not.........I'm just saying let's remember how this all got started and respect the art form and its origins. None of us would probably even own samplers if it wasn't for the OG beat diggers.

well i actually said the subculture itself is becoming split- not the whole subculture i persoinally like the whole digging thing just think some dudes (like dudes will in anything) take things to far, get too anal or arrogant or lose site of the point of it all...i wasn't dismissing digging as nerdy-

Thanks for the links, although I prolly will not need them... Reason being, well I am horrible with computer stuff, and all I can do is play, what do I do save link?

Anyways, its a deep list of slut loops, pretty good for chops so thanks for the post...

Now how do I download the wavs, so I can grab some drums
not the loops?

instead of pressing the left button of your mouse, press the right button, and from there choose "save file to disk" or something like that..

don't know what to do if you're on a mac tho
