I'm one of those "noobs" that picked up a MPC2000XL a little over a year ago without having any experience with drum machines or samplers and I'm getting around on it fine. As someone early said, it's not too difficult to operate if you put the time in. I don't see the MPC1000 being any less complicated especially considering some of the features that come standard on it. Having the 2000XL, I don't think I would go and buy the 1000 but, I like what I see even the flassy colors.
yes,, but the key is "put in work" most peeps like the instant gratification of triton or the PC (reason etc.) and dont have the patience to learn it and in 6 months its on ebay.
and I dont like the 4000 cuz its all hype. the OS is a POS and its been out how long? its gonna be like the "vestax samurai" mixers, they will drop, do OK but not live up to expectatinos, then something else will drop and the 4000/samurai series will be forgotten. If the 4000 integrated the DPS 24 into it as standard, then that might be something worth the hype. that would be nice.....
